Hi, I’m Nat
I’m the baby whisperer behind Life After Labour, a mum of four grown children, and someone who has spent much of her working life supporting babies, parents and families through the early years.

Care that feels steady, thoughtful and human.
Originally from the United States, I’ve called Australia home for many years. My work has taken me into homes both here and overseas, supporting families through everything from those first newborn days to feeding, sleep, routines, developmental changes and the general adjustment that comes with bringing a new baby home.
My background spans newborn and infant care, overnight support, infant sleep, parent education and mentoring other caregivers. I’ve worked with families in many different circumstances, including busy households, travelling families and homes with larger care teams. That experience has taught me that there is rarely one perfect way to care for a baby. What matters is finding an approach that works for the individual baby and the family around them.
Practical support behind you.
My style is calm, practical and reassuring. I like good information, realistic solutions and routines that make family life easier rather than more complicated. I’m not interested in judgement or making parents feel they should be doing things a certain way.
I also believe a sense of humour is fairly essential when you’re dealing with babies, sleep deprivation and life at 3am. With my own children now grown, I have the flexibility to travel and regularly work with families both within Australia and internationally.
Away from work, I love travelling, animals and spending time with my family.
“Sometimes you need advice. Sometimes you need a plan. And sometimes you just need an experienced pair of hands and a good night’s sleep.”
